The Zone 4 website is open for registration for the Alberta Winter Games tryouts. Please note that the registration deadline for the games tryouts is this Thursday, Dec. 15th!
Note regarding the Bragg Creek Youth Championships: There will be parent coaches and chaperones from our club attending. If you are interested in attending the Youth Championships as a coach/chaperone/driver, please send a quick e-mail to Laurie at laurieh@nait.ca. Chaperones/drivers will need to stay on-site with the athletes, and to drive skiers between the camp and the ski trails each day. If we have more volunteers than spaces available, we may have to draw names from a hat.
Zone 5 will also be looking for parents to travel with the zone 5 team to the Winter Games in Spruce Grove, and to chaperone both the male and female groups. Chaperones need to stay on site with the athletes, and will sleep in the schools. There will be one male and one female zone coach who will stay on site with the athletes (along with the chaperones). If you are interested in helping as a chaperone or waxing technician for zone 5, please send an e-mail to Laurie at laurieh@nait.ca. We will be asking coaches from each of the zone 5 communities to provide a list of names of anyone who would like to chaperone or help with waxing. Again, we may have to draw names if there is a lot of interest from parent volunteers.
