Time to get back to skiing.
Tomorrow the Ole Uffda Loppet will be held in Camrose beginning at 11:00am and we encourage you to participate. This is a classic event with distances ranging from 1.25k to 30k. Although the forecast is for warmer weather than we have had this week it will still be cold at the start of the race. Plan to race with a buff and warm mitts.
If you are planning to ski 10k or longer a base binder warmed into your kick zone and then corked smooth will help hold your wax. Follow that with 3 or 4 layers of a cold weather kick wax (blue or green).
Sign up online at Zone4 today or in person tomorrow before the race.
If you are not planning to go to Camrose, Pat is looking for some volunteers to help to get the Liberton trail in shape. He is planning to be at Liberton at 2pm tomorrow. Pat would be grateful to anyone with a shovel (or snow blower) who can help tomorrow. The tobogganing hill is in great shape so bring your kids.
Thanks
Ward
